Did you know your child is covered for dental care?
Start your child at 2 years old!
Did you know that children can start coming to the dentist as of two years of age? By the time toddlers reach the age of two they’ve often already developed the majority of their primary teeth (also known as “baby teeth”). There are a total of twenty primary teeth, ten on the upper and lower arches, which begin to grow when your child is around six months old. Coming in for regular dental cleanings and exams allows them to get accustomed to the hygienist and dentist and teaches them the importance of their oral health.
There are several services that are covered under the government until the age of 9:
- one dental exam per year
- emergency exams
- amalgam (metal) fillings
- extractions
- endodontic treatment (root canal treatment)
There are also preventative services that we provide such as:
- fluoride treatment
- sealants
- radiographs (dental x-rays)
- sports guards
Should you have any questions concerning any services or would like further information please contact us or speak with your dental care providers during your visit.
